Have you ever stopped to think perhaps a room- like a person- could use a fresh start?
This is exactly what went through my head when I entered this bathroom.
The shower was crammed into a tiny 30” x 30” corner. There were two coats of wallpaper beneath the pink paint. There was one layer of tiles installed over a second layer on the floor. The room was like a lady who kept adding more and more make-up without removing that which she had on from the night before!
So we gutted the room down to the studs and floorboards in order to give “her” a complete new look.
We moved the shower to incorporate it with the bathtub. That gave us room to create a second vanity sink and cabinet. The wall and floor tiles are from Ann Sacks, paint color is Benjamin Moore Daiquiri Ice, the cabinets are custom-made and the plumbing fixtures & fittings are a mixture of Kohler, Rohl and Grohe.
Now this bathroom is a bright, cheery place that the brother and sister who use it love to share. And I am convinced the room “feels” all-the-better for having been given a complete “face-lift.”
Sincerely,
Alicia

Looks beautiful! Great Work!
Very pretty! Is that some Ann Sacks tile I see?
Of course…this client’s fav! 🙂
A window in the shower?? Wouldn’t this cause some long term problems?
Impressive Alicia, your contractor’s do quality work!
Excellent redo! The 50’s pink thing wasn’t working for that small room. The metaphor of not removing the old makeup before putting on the new….described it exactly.
I especially like the use of the whites that was used to replace the antiquated old colors. Not just white but the kind of white and off whites that worked together bringing this old bathroom up to date! Great look!
It’s wonderful Alicia, I love it what a difference!!!
SIMPLY STUNNING! You go girl!
Well done!
Great job on the makeover!
Hi Alicia: Great job! The simplicity makes its own statement.
